Dumb mmmn looks like the tree from that movie, or the forest mana symbol from MTG... either way, it's quite a departure from the earlier black metal offerings. I like them both (I like Magic cards better than movies, tho) so keep it up!

YomaBarr Because I'm a huge admirer of Waldo's talent throughout the spectrum. From the abyss of Atavisma through hellish Acedia Mundi through anarchism of the early Etxegina to... jazz. Gotta get myself one of these prints.

Sorgsen Skuggan This record for me, while keeping the heart in hand like Etxegiña had in Herederos del Silencio but with an aggressive and mourning stance for the rage of the story being told, feels like returning home. More introspective, more personal and serene, the jazzy movements in these folk tunes vibrate with still a sorrowful yet determined voice for the days to come. I couldn't recommend this new work by Waldo and company any harder. Favorite track: Ardiendo de Esperanza.

Si las producciones iniciales de Extegiña llenaban el corazón de furia y ultraje ante la injusticia del franquismo y las atrocidades cometidas por sus secuaces, este álbum te lleva en una dirección distinta, donde te presenta las esperanzas de muchos por un mundo mejor, nuestras añoranzas por paz, y las melancolías que sufrimos.

"El Olivo y el Olvido" is Etxegiña's first acoustic & instrumental record. Written and recorded as a trio, it draws inspiration from 1930's spanish revolutionary songs, Jazz music & odd-time signatures. The result is a blend of folk music with a modern twist & featuring improvisations.

While being instrumental, "EOYEO" thematically delves into mental health issues. How we deal with hardship, how we sometimes lie to ourselves not to be overthrown by our grief. It's only pretention is to bring a little light in the life of those listening. It can also be seen as a musical fresco for the early XXth century.
